Mounting DR piezo arrays with wooden trim

Helpful hints on how to build 'em, and where to get the stuff you need.

Art, every time I see your avatar ( not cab! ) it reminds me of that classy job you did on those Omnis - they are par excellence!

NOTE: The tweeters were protected from paint spray by small wooden disc laid in the bottom of the horn. The array assembly was flipped over to let the discs fall out immediately after spraying to avoid sticking.
I don't mean to resurrect a long since dead thread, but are these pictures posted anywhere? There seems like a lot of good stuff in this (and many other) threads here in Tips, but the image links seem to be busted.

Although there may be some elements of this approach that are still relevant, I vaguely remember when this thread was originally created, and it was before the introduction of the melded array. It was dealing with the old "cross-fired" piezo scheme which is no longer recommended.
Dave

Built:
- Omni 10 (S2010 + piezo array)
- 2 x DR250 (DL II 2510 + melded array)
- 2 x Titan 39 (BP102 - 14"W)
- 2 x Titan 39 (3012LF - 20"W)
- 4 x DR200 (Delta Pro 8B + melded array)

I took them down because, as Dave said, they're no longer relevant. The melded array lets you use the original mounting holes.
