For most BF rigs, the PA+ is a better choice, as it has crossover, limiter, and a reasonable EQ (and AutoEQ) in the box. DCX is a bit more versatile in its routing, but the EQ section is a little limited once you start doing a bunch of crossover slopes, as the box runs out of DSP power way too quickly. It's intended to be used with the DEQ anyway.

I stared at a PA2 for a long time at Guitar Center yesterday. (no way was i gonna buy it there)

+1 The PA+ takes less space in the rack and is cheaper than the DEQ/DCX solution.
