Partly right Bruce. He was one of the lead singers and thus put more emphasis on listening to the vocals for harmonies than my bass - hence the 'in ear' headphones. Several times I asked if he ever listened to my bass at al land he replied "Why should I - I know you're there and vocals are more important to me and listening to the bass just gets in the way"

Considering it's important for bass and drums to work together and listen to each other, it's no surprise that the combination you see in the photo no longer play together
That was my issue also. When I was in my band the lead singer just wanted himself (not even his rhythm guitar) in the monitors. No bass, lead guitar or drums.
Needless to say he tried to lead the band with his vocals. Can't do it....listening is one of the best tools in the drummers tool box. (besides the fan to blow all the farting that goes on, up on stage)
This was a leading factor for me leaving the band. No, not the farting, And yes I tried to talk to him.

The picture looks more like you are trying to squeak one out. :P

That's funny....I was thinking along the same lines when I first saw it, but I thought the drummer dealt it and Harley smelt it.

Around here drummers that want to play the type of music that I want to play are few and far between. The guy we have now isn't up to snuff so I often do The Harley.

Less than a month old so no.... Zombie pics needed!

Being a Farting Drummer myself.... it is too funny about the fan and on stage gas expulsions. :loler:

The Beatles said their intent was for the music to support the vocals. Even so there are limits to the leeway a Vocalist can take for both types of irregularity... whether it be... Farting... or Tempo.

Hard nipples = Excitement - that' what's going on

....OH......do you mean the first picture at the thread start?

In that case, the drummer ( who states he doesn't need to listen to me because he's concentrating on more important stuff like vocals ) has just screwed up ONCE MORE with his drumming, so he got the "I'm not F%^$ing well impressed at all" glare from me, the bassplayer. He knows it. He's trying to avoid looking at me. That's the main reason why I don't play with him in a group with him anymore.
