Are the 23 gauge pins small enough that they don't need post-processing? (nailset/bondo)?

What do you do on the outside corners that you plan to round off? Use/remove screws on those and just use brads on inner joints?

If you use brads or pins, the router won't even know they are there. I would start to fear them at thicker than 16GA, or, 1.6 mm. Thinner is better, of course.

Got the PC BN200C in earlier this week . . really nice tool! Depth gauge adjustment thingy is fabulous. I was worried about the WAF, but once I started touting what I could do with it, any reservations she had quickly evaporated. I then realized I had touted too much as she began enumerating all the things I could accomplish around the homestead . . fix the trim around the windows . . redo some trim around the ceiling beam, finish out the inside of the storm shelter, build some nice shelves in the utility room, build some . . . and then . . . and maybe . . . . .

Ah, the dreaded "honey-do" list. But, alas, all is NOT lost!

Turn this negative into a positive. "Honey, remember that long list of trim work we want to do, well I need the sliding compound miter saw to do a proper, professional looking job, so all the angles line up properly. Right tool for the job and all. :loler:

Is there much difference between the BN200B and the BN200C? I found a deal at Home Depot where I got the BN200B, along with a compressor, a crown stapler, and a 16 gauge finish nailer for $199. I'm also contemplating the Bostitch 23 gauge pin nailer, but I might just try the brad nailer first.

Second question - when using a nailer, do you first use a couple screws to pull in the ends, and then nail along the line? Or just nails?

(My wife has recently pointed out several pieces of furniture that she'd like constructed now that I have all of these tools...)

Don't think there is much difference between the "B" and "C" models . . They both use an updated oiless motor compared to the older "A" model. Best I can tell from Googling, the main difference is a lighter magnesium body on the "C" . . that and designating it "C" means PC can say they updated and released a new model! :D

As far as pulling ends, I see no need for screws if you clamp what you're working on tight, then start firing the brads machine gun style! . . . :P

I've been using a Harbor Freight brad nailer for a while and had only 1 issue so far (didn't remove all the brads when changing sizes and jammed). It's my favorite tool.
