yes only the edges are routed and it's made from 18mm plywood for extra strength.
the gig went great, setup was simple. i got a corner to setup my stuff , t30 corner loaded with the xti on top . table with the dj gear in front of it . to the left and right of the table speaker stands with 2 behringer tops each ( top one upside down)
bass was omnipresent with only about 15v put into the T30. did a war volume soundcheck and was immediatly told to turn it back down. didn't have time to do any EQ so it sounded a bit of ( mostly the tops ).
my uncle was the dj that evening and he said he got a lot of positive reactions about the sound although it could have been better it think. the people had a nice time and the T30 coasted allong with minimal volume setting.
it's really a great sub for this kind of gigs. goes nice and low and does it without the distortion of the mackies i used on the previous gigs.
if you're a dj and want to build some subs i can greatly recommend the T30 or it's T45 brother.
