30 minutes? Sounds grueling. I have to struggle through a <10 min. drive to get mine. On top of that, I have to decide which of two yards I want to go to. I have to tell you... life is tough in H-town.

If I could haul a 5x5 on my bicycle, I'd do it in a flash.

Nice! That's pretty cool that it's so close to you. There are two places that I know of in the San Antonio area to get BB. It's a drive to either one, but at least we have two places to choose from.

Exactly.....and with the OP being close to Philly, there has to be someplace close by.

It is here! I just have to buy a pallet or 2 of it! Lol! but for single sheets, believe it or not... It is hard. There is consumer crap here for miles, but quality builder stuff...... not so common. We have 2 super Walmarts 5 miles apart from each other, almost every fast food and chain restaurant, with any retail store you can think of, and a Mall. I was told that Deptford nj was the 2nd largest densest shopping area per square mile in the US, Number 1 is the mall of America! and that's just 1 giant building with many stores inside! This place is a nightmare from thanksgiving to new years day.

There is an 84 Lumber the next town over, but someone told me to not even bother, that they are just like Lowe's, and won't carry what I am looking for. Maybe I should try it anyways?

The Lowes had really nice 3/4" (I think it was oak with even plys) but that's too much! weight wise and price. Home depot had 1/2" birch with 3 even plys but the minimum layers is 5 right?

$25 a sheet!!!! that's cheap as hell!! I think a 4x8 sheet of baltic birch ply here is around $65-70. That cheap crap I'm using was $40 a sheet. and that 3 ply birch was almost $50.

I'm sure I will find somewhere soon enough. LIke I said, I haven't lived here long enough so I know nothing, and funny enough, neither does any of the locals around here! Lol!!

You aren't going to find it at those lumber yards. You need to find a lumber supplier.....that's the guys who sell wholesale to cabinet builders, etc. They won't be next to the highway and sell faucets and lawnmowers....they are strictly lumber guys.

Start digging - you'll find 'em.

Don't waste fuel searching for BB. Open up the yellow pages and get on the horn. If they don't have it, ask who might, and go on from there.

That's how I found out I had two lumber yards that stock BB within a long walk's distance from my house.

Thank you so much for the info, but that's a little far for me!

I actually talked to someone that finally knows a place not too far! Hallelujah!!! 7.5 miles from my house! Mr. Robert's Lumber Center http://www.lumber-2.com/ I'll call them tomorrow for pricing and what's available.

I just finished putting the last panel on. It all came out straight and square after adjusting 2 of the panel braces. Now I just have to wait for the caulk to dry to install the driver and do the leak testing. I can't wait!!

It looks fantastic. You used a lot less screws than I did. You'll be done and jamming your cab before I even get my screw holes patched. LOL! Great job, daveode.

Please, tell us you used PL Premium Adhesive, and not caulk!

I used 3 1/2 tubes of PL 3x!! The "waiting for caulk to dry" was for the speaker wire through hole. It says in the plans not to install the driver until the caulk dries inside the chamber.

There is a problem tho........ Is a 12" speaker suppose to get this loud at low volume!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Holy Crap!!!
