Here in belgium it's currently about 10 times more expensive to drink a beer at a cafe than when you buy it at the store.You can easily spend 50€ when going out.
But that doesn't stop us from having a good time

Yup, I've no idea why anyone over here drinks the stuff. The beer you'll find in most highstreet pubs is woeful, the stuff on tap is generally poor. You CAN find little oldschool pubs that get stuff on tap from microbreweries which is usually really good.

...that said your man went to LONDON where pubs water down the already piss-weak beer and charge you fucking loads for the privilege. When in London always buy bottled, shit on tap will be just that, shit. Because London hates everyone and wants to make you as miserable as the people that live there.

He was definitely in the wrong place to drink beer.
