Guys I only have 1 T60, Hoping to have 2 someday. If the consensus is still that I need a minivan I'll look into it but I know I can't find a reasonably priced sienna.

oh word. My bad man, I thought the bug had you, I totally was like... now what can he fit 4 T60s in...
will 2 t60s fit in the back of a wagon? I know 2 18 inch wide t48s just barely fit in the smaller ones like the Ford Focus, Volkswagon gti 4 door etc.

Get a trailer. When you are not gigging, it is a safe place to store your equipment, easy to lock down, and can be found quite inexpensively. As a bonus, when you are at a gig, your "spare" equipment is hidden from eyes of bad intent. Other than parking space, there is no down-side to having a trailer. Forum member "djengineer" even had a trailer hitch installed on his Audi TT Type!

Can't argue with any of that.....and it beats the hell out of loading and unloading twice every time you take it out.

Hey so generally 2 t60 in a van 1 in a wagon. 4 in a truck. Does anyone have any experience with freight shipping of sub woofers? I'm hoping to buy a 2nd t60 due to limited building time (sla center) and it is 1600 miles away.

Also an enclosed trailer is a good place to keep the amp rack dry / out of the dust!

How much will a trailer cost me? I'd like it to be enclosed for security.

There are loads on Craigslist... maybe even consider a little toy hauler so you can sleep / shower as well as haul stuff.

Enclosed 5x8 would probably be 12-1500 bucks used for a decent one. That should be all you need if it's just a DJ rig.

We dont have a place to put a trailer at my house so I would have to keep it in San Luis obispo. Also I'm having a hard time finding enclosed 5x8s for less than 2k.

You can always rent a trailer, that's what we do.
How often are you hauling?

I would just use the trailer for driving to gigs no more than 10 miles away maybe 4 gigs (that require a trailer) per year. But i wouldn't get paid enough to offset a rental for these events. I'd sooner ask a friend with a truck. Wait you can rent them cheap?

yes, thats what I do. 6 t48s and 4 ot12s plus amps and cables with room to spare in a 5x8. 18 dollars a day, insurance is like 12 bucks as well.

Well that settles that problem. I'll buy a wagon that fits 1 T60 and a pair of otops, and rent a 5x8 or 4x8 when I need more. Plus, if you need more than 1 T60 at an event they should be paying me well enough to warrant that cost. Thanks for the advice everyone.
