Not sure if this would work for your needs, but A Designs makes a little unit called ATTY its a volume Attenuator. I use it in the studio to prevent my ad converter from clipping because my preamp's signal is always to hot. Without it I clip every take. I think they make a rack mountable version as well.

Just turn down your amp attenuators?? I had the same issue you did.

You know, I've always wondered about that. How would you feel if you got pulled back from Paradise? I don't know if I would have been all about that or not...

Lazarus again: I had my volts set just right - and the DCX2496 had to be -24db to JUST make it (50V for a quad of T39s w/an IPR3000 ). Then I added a DEQ 2496 and EVERYthing was in the red. IOW, re-check the gain on the DEQ2496 and, presto! sorry for the resurrection post.
