cool. I am doing 4 dr250's stacked in two vertical arrays for mains. 2 dr250's for the DJ booth. 4 tuba 60's for subs.
I then plan to add 4 more T60's.
then 4 more dr 250's, 2 for rear time delayed room fills, 2 for the original stacks.
thanks for your help everyone!

I initially bought a Crown XLS 1000 to power 4 DR250's but after consulting with the forum i took it back unopened and got the XLS 1500 and i'm glad i did,i think the xls 1000 would have left something to be desired. With the 1500 if i run into a clipping issue i have enough headroom from the amp that i can turn my signal source down at the mixer, adjust my limiter and turn my amp up.DR250's actually have a voltage limit of 44.7 but we are encouraged to limit them to 40 v.I go a step further and limit mine at 38 volts when i use 4 of them.If i need more than that i need to pass on that gig and spend that time building some more cabs.

1 amp to power 4 dr250's ??
spec on the speaker you use:
Power Handling (RMS) 250 Watts
Power Handling (max) 500 Watts
Impedance 8 ohms
spec on the amp you use:
Watts/Side @ 8 ohms 300W
so 150W per speaker? hmmm.. not sure if I understand.

300w @ 8 ohms, so your amp will probably be ~ 500w @ the 4 ohm load that 2 parallel Dr's will present to the amp. So looks to be spot on.
