I am a little concerned, possibly without merit about that joint still...sorry for paranoia..I would be careful moving it around as I don't believe in PL as a strong structural substance when used in that manner. Since it is in the mouth/throat joint you should be able to get to it for resealing with caulk after the fact. Please do double check it after it is placed for an airleak.

i will for sure. i tried to bend the seam and break the pl seal before closing it up to no avail. between the other edges being glued and the braces, its very sturdy. that said, i am glad i can get to it if needed.

is 16 awg wire ok to use from the speaker to the binding post jack?

I ran mine off a 18 guage 30 foot wire as a temp wire for 2 months.....personally I haven't noticed a sonic difference between speaker wires. That being said since it is only like 10 feet of wire you need being installed permenently your buying go for a lower gauge if it isn't a major issue or expense..or double up on your current wire.

oh I mean from the speaker itself to the back of the binding posts. the internal wiring. its like one foot. ill run 12awg from the amp to the THT.

OP, use this to determine what you need to use. Calculate the total run from the amp to the speaker, use the same wire within and without.

They are mechanically finished but cosmetically a mess. Lots of bondo. I do like that it dries super fast. I used it to fill the holes as well.

The vinyl tubing trick works great. I could actually hear some of the leaks without the tube.

The joint that I forgot to glue seems to be fine

Just running a 25hz tone at 10 volts during leak tests was starting to energize my 2 1/2 car, 18' high garage with the doors open! and that's just one at a time! Looking into the mouth, I could feel my shirt ruffling.

These are not presentable enough to bring inside yet. The wife goes out of town Monday through Wednesday so I'll get them sanded, primed, and painted. Then I will bring them into the living room for a little test LOLOLOL!

All my AV equipment is going to the basement once I'm done refinishing it, but I will keep one THT upstairs till then.

they are all done. i think they look and sound fantastic. They blend in really well. Im totally happy with them. im only using one in my living room for now until i get the basement finished. im coming from a PB13-Ultra and i think it more than holds its own sound quality wise. Definitely has that horn detail i experienced a little with my La Scalas and i can understand why these are the recommended sub type for all horn speakers like that. Cant wait to get them setup downstairs!!

Why? 16ga is sufficient for even a 30 foot run, let alone a couple of feet inside the cab.

i used 16ga inside the cab. ill go with 12 outside just because the runs will be longer(up and across the ceiling and down) and its what ill use to all my speakers so ill buy it bulk.
