Thanks for the reminder. The picture I posted doesn't show it very well, but the 3/5 brace is in there. I didn't get a chance to install the 2/7 braces yet.

I installed a few more panels last night. I'd be done by now if it weren't for all the braces.

The sub is functional as of yesterday. I made the mistake of bringing it into my living room to test it, so who knows how long it will stay there until I put the finishing touches on it (making it into an actual table).

This thing is absolutely amazing. It digs so much deeper than my T18's and is louder in general. Stuff is vibrating all over my house now and I've had to adjust the pictures on the shelf in the living room about three times to keep them from falling.

I don't know how much better/worse the recommended drivers would be, but I can't imagine them being any better than these Infinity's. I played some kind of bass test song earlier and my vision was actually going blurry from ~6 feet away. The only other subs I've had do that are the two T39's I built.

I'm really happy with the build. I'll try to get some measurements and maybe a video posted in a few days.

I've been demoing the first part of Transformers 2 for anyone that comes over to hear it and the reactions are hilarious when the giant excavator transforms and smashes into the ground. The low frequencies pound your whole body and shake everything in the room, leaving smiles on everyone who's watching. You can actually feel the low frequency waves hit you in slower pulses. This sub has absolutely exceeded my expectations.

*Edit - Removed sweeps for inaccuracy.

sounds like a slight upgrade to the jbl gto, & a useable cone gasket unlike the gto!

You measured the room, not the cabs response. Cabin gain, nulls & power alleys come into play in-room. Read the measurement of "Frankenspeakers" again, as it was measured properly, outside in half space. This would be a valid comparison.

I think you missed this part of my post:

I did some very un-scientific sweeps over the weekend. The DB figures aren't calibrated with an SPL meter, so take those with a grain of salt. I'd like to do a ground-plane measurement sometime.

I thought it was obvious that it wasn't an accurate test.
