IMO opinion that is what makes this forum fun, if we kept it just the facts it would be a little too dry for my taste. But I will respect if BM doesnt want any goofing around on his thread.

On an update, I'm back, and will start building hopefully within a couple of days. I'm in the process of ordering the hardware stuff I didn't get: nuts, bolts, speaker terminal, etc.

It's good to see you here on the forum page. I got into speaker building when i was 13 and I only wish I had this available to me. At the time the only recourse I had was a speaker building book from Radio Shack! I read that book over and over... I still have it in fact!

I've just gotten into speakers now, and the first book I got was Sound Reproduction: The Acoustics and Psychoacoustics of Loudspeakers and Rooms by Floyd E. Toole. Pretty thorough, and mind-boggling at times

Here's what I got done yesterday, after about 2 hours of work. Progress is slow, but I'm being very careful, probably a bit over-obsessive. The measure twice cut once rule has saved me at least once already.
I cut the two side panels and drew out the driver access panel.

Here's the table saw, it's my neighbor's since we don't own one. I actually haven't used it to cut any panels yet, the plywood was too big for the span of the rip fence as it was, so I used a circular saw to cut out the two side panels and used a rasp to straighten out rough edges.


Here's what I finished last night.

Today I finished penciling the horn path on the plywood, drilling the 1/16" "marker" holes, and "connecting the dots" on both sides of the plywood. Tomorrow I start cutting the panels!

You mentioned a fear of warped panels earlier. I think a bigger fear should be making sure they are all the same width so rip all your panels at once. You can store them flat on the floor with weight on them until you need to cut. Plan which panels will be cut from each piece of stock and label each and all as work progresses.

EDIT Always label completed panels with "up" and "inside" so you PL the correct edges at assembly. PREVENTS FUBARING like on page 5
