In any configuration, you need one cable per cab. A Y adapter won't make a difference to that. I'm I missing something?

I already have a pair of 25' speakons, which worked fine with the music station centered. Its a little petty to concern myself with the value of the already owned cables, but it is in my nature to be sure I am doing things efficiently. It seems like a pair of 25' for the short run is excessive, but I want around 25-35' between the cabinet stacks. So I need 2 45-50' cables to daisy chain from cab to cab.

This is a total of 150' of cable to daisy chain.

whereas if I used a pair of splitters at the amp I could be using a total of 100' of cable.

The extra cost of cable is one issue (like washed out or even surpassed by cost of Y's) What about signal strength/integrity?

Is 50' inconsequential assuming the correct gauge of wire is used?

Apologies for the stream of consciousness.

.
You only need one long cable to run from speaker to speaker. The run from the amp to one speaker will use the 25 footer you already have. Are you really spreading your mains 30-40 feet apart? Must be some monster rooms that you are in.

hmmmmm.... I just caught this.

By cabinet stacks, you aren't talking about running subs underneath each top, are you? If that's why you need two long cords, then you need to educate yourself about proper sub placement.

It should be:

AMP to Speaker 1 - short cable.
Speaker 1 to Speaker 2 - long cable.

Amp to Sub 1 - cable length dependent on where you place the subs
Sub 1 to Sub 2 - short jumper as they should be right next to each other.

Duly noted and appreciated, never really thought it matter too much for sub placement since it will be outdoors, at my parties, overlooking a few acres. Not very conducive to principles of placement. Bu I read you, and appreciate all your help for sure. I will read up on kit placement a lot more.

Thanks
