well how you talk is wiping out our colourful language, all those movies and tv shows. ive seen Australian kids that have started school with American accents.

in cities not so much, but out were i live its still quite common. the old shearers still spin some cracker yarns.

I myself have no strong accent but there is nothing more amusing than watching someone who has just flown in from India, having learnt most of their English from Americans, trying to understand broad Yorkshire.
Background youtubing would include 'Yorkshire Airlines' and 'Last of the Summer Wine'.

I've enjoyed many accents, but the most unintelligible was a guy from New Zealand. My wife and I sat nodding our heads at him for ten minutes. Afterwards I said, "So he worked at a milk factory and doesn't have a license. What did you get?" "Nothing." Whatever it was, it was highly entertaining and he laughed at himself every 30 seconds or so.
