Thats kinda what I was thinking, its a tough room. I think I might try them in front of the stage next time.
The program is Virtual DJ v7. I have been using it for 4-5 years and it has served me well.

This may be out of the ordinary but maybe standing upright in v shape firing at the wall to the left of the dj booth(if you are looking at the dj). Follow the instructions sticky for wall loading to have proper distance off the wall. Might just work out for you.
Re: Argggggg! Failure at a teen dance last night
DJ'ed a christmas party last night, 6:30-10 with no problems. Standard ball room at a hotel.
I will post some pics soon. We got many many compliments and even had people coming
from the party in the ballroom next to us asking us for business cards. They said they wanted us next year
instead of the DJ that was there last night. Never had to go above 1/3 volume.
I did not have any options to wall or corner load so I put the subs side by side at the corner of
the dance floor and had plenty of bass. Once again many thanks to Bill for the great designs and
to everyone on this forum.

I faintly heard someone next to us last night too a couple of times, oddly it was all mids and highs. My job was a Filipino party and my experience is they'll let you know if it doesn't sound good.rec wrote:DJ'ed a christmas party last night, 6:30-10 with no problems. Standard ball room at a hotel.
