damn you guys hahaha. I just moved into a new house. oh the corner of my living room is begging for a THT. dunno if I want to just build a 30" wide one, or if I want to build a THTLP and mount it under my couch  Of course... this means I'll need tlah's as well :hyper:

Just decide on one and go. You could be done by the end of the weekend if you don't think about it too much!

The TLAHs work great, plus are cheap and easy to make. I have my THT nearly maxed at some points, but the TLAHs are pretty much just coasting.

Make sure a 30" will fit around the corners. My 24" barely fit up the stairs considering it is 36" long too. A 24" will give you plenty of output, don't worry!

I got inordinately stoked with my roommate. Right now we are storing the 2 T30s and 2 otops, in this little nook on the bottom floor (essentially a basement), but has a door out the back side cause we are on a hill. Now, this nook, is directly below the right back corner in our living room. The plan: Cut a hole in the floor and shove 3 THTLP standing up down there, firing through a grate into our living room :chainsaw: :chainsaw: :chainsaw:

Probably should calm down a bit :noob:

I would try one and see how you like it! You can always build more.

I mean, it would be more efficient to make three at a time, but it will still take you much longer to build three than to build one.

You have two T30s, so lets compare the T30 to the THT so you know. Ooops, can't find a T30 loaded with a delta12lf. I'll use the T30 with 2x2010. That's gotta be close.

It looks like the THT is at minimum 12 db above, which is basically a lot. :D I think that must be at least 10 T30s, but I think you get some gain if you V plate them. Also, you probably can put more power into your T30s. So the output from 4-10 T30s, perhaps... The THT also goes down a lot farther which you will certainly feel. 50 hz may be that chest kick, but 20 hz feels smoother and vibrates the floor. You will like it - a LOT.

Why aren't you building it yet? Cutting a hole in the floor will only slow you down from building your first THT!

hahaha, those THT graphs are a tad cheating though. They are the cornerloaded graphs. I'm sure 1 would be more than enough. Doesnt stop me from wanting 3

There is no way my T30s can touch that low end, but 2 of them cornerloaded can give the THT a run above 35hz I'd say.

Ooops, corner loaded, yes. Didn't see that. ;) Even the low <30 hz frequencies are pretty much my max, and it gets louder from there. Two would be serious over kill in just about any room in a normal house. I'm talking with the DVC driver. Did I mention that stuff on OTHER floors vibrate when this thing is on? ....on the other side of the house??

Have you ordered your driver yet? Free shipping, so no need to buy all three at once! :D

What are you waiting for?? :hyper:

hahahaha. Gotta focus on getting everything unpacked before the driver gets ordered.

T48s might have to come before the THT unfortunatly... its on the list though.
