exactly, thats a stout amp. Thanks for the real world example. I've got a pallet full of ep amps waiting for install and I wont need to but I'm sure the 4000(2500) can run 2 THT24/15" each channel nicely. What kind of conditioner have you used (what max amp rating?) to run that kind of setup? I've used Furmans mostly but I recently had a meeting w a very forward thinking power conditioning company called Innovolt and created an account with them. Very cool design philosophy..
LOL, the reason I totally forgot to address that part is because, *whispers* I've never used one.
hey greg, here in england the amps seem to be twice the price of those across the pond, but i can strongly reccomend not going with the skytech type amps. my brother made the mistake of doing that and they realy are poor quality. if you realy struggling for money (like me) go for second hand amps on ebay. i managed to scoop up a AH2400 for under £100, not so much 'pro audio' but its a real work horse!
also, a good phrase thats been going round recently...
buy once, cry once!
2 OTops completed
2 Tuba30's Delta 12LF
2 more on the way OR 4 T48's
cool cheers for all the info guys i though i would have to stear clear of the cheap ones, I just want to do as much research before i start to build as i do want to end up with a decent set up, I will keep an eye out for the beheringer 2nd hand as the crown xti 2000 would be awsome its just way out of my price range looks like it holds its value well. Still think the tubas will be the best set up as it will be for dj only maily baseline, dnb, & dubstep

ok man cool what sort of set up are you running? thats the sort of amp i was looking for if i could get it that price, will have to wait till one pops up on ebay.
At the moment im running two OTops (delta pro 12 loaded) and two other horn loaded bass bins (not bfm), im actualy starting my build of two tuba30's next week as im on holiday and can hopefully power through the build. im also dnb/dubstep orientated so once ive fineshed them i can post some results on how they perform

ok man cool that would be awsome to here the resluts, how inportant are the tops with baseline driven music like will the tubas cut it alone? or would u recomend tops as well for the mids and highs. cos for now i would just want to use the tubas for a few raves then when more cash comes think bout buliding the otops.
would u need a crossover as well for the AH2400 just to run 2 tubas?
would 2xomni tops with loaded with a Deltalite II 2512 do the job? if i using 2xtuba30/delta 12lf. If you think so thats the set up i will go for, thanks for all this help btw really wanna get this set up right 1st time.
well i want a system that will cope with a few hundred as it will be mostly outdoors, cos i want to put on a few raves this summer. i cant go nuts on a system beacuse of money, and i didnt just want to buy a shit one. So this will be the best idea to build one as i want quality sound that wont break the bank. you happy with your tubas so far?
im up in manchester.
ive got alot to compete with up here though, theres a collective with 20 hd15's, 16 punishers, 16 hog scoops and 16 community tops. they realy take bass seriously.
id just love to have a stack of T48's and see if i could rival them!
