More of a Carl Thompson influence than anything else.

The bridge is a Hipshot model that is made to be a replacement for Gibson bridges - its a bit heavier and bulkier than I would like, but it added a nice look with the extra curves...a little something different.

Nice bass. I have a Rickenbacker myself, but your design is very cool. I have a small bass combo amp with 2 piezo horns, I leave them turned them on. Some folks here build their jacks with no piezos like you have done. Sure would be simpler and less expensive. How can I wean myself off the piezos so I can build cool looking J112's like yours?

That I can't tell ya...I'm used to bass cabinets without tweeters, so I don't miss what I wasn't hearing anyway.

A small array and the filters are easy to add, and I had that in mind when I built these, but haven't seen the need to add them yet.

If you are wondering about being able to cut through the mix without tweeters... don't worry. They cut. I took them to a 3 band benefit a week or so ago, both of the other bass players wanted to use them and they sounded great in all 3 mixes. There were no complaints.
