I was asked to bring my speakers, to a little party, to be used for back ground music and announcements, and I was lazy. This setup worked well, considering, as full range. I had a hi-pass of 80hz.

DR250 x2 with shallow ports (80hz tuning), powered by a single channel on an iNuke3000DSP. Ran a new setup in it using 4 PEQ bands of EQ.

Some time ago by sheer coincidence I got in touch with people playing mainly gypsy jazz. I had hardly played at all over more than 10 years. I can't even remember when I last played jazz, that must be well over 20 years ago. You know how things go when you play bass: next thing you know you are their go-to bass player 
I am now part of a loosely coupled group of people who get together whenever someone feels like playing gypsy jazz. Nothing fancy, we just meet in someones back yard or living room. A few regulars, most of the time there are some new faces. A few weeks ago we were actually booked to play at a party, outside. Half of the set list was totally new for me. A total of six people would be playing, two of whom I met for the first time day before the gig. I met one guitar player half an hour before the actual gig. I would not have thought a year ago but we had fun and it went well.
Now what's the BF part in all this? For the occasional living room rehearsal I bring my smallest cab which is a ported 10", and it is a good one. For the gig I dusted off my trusty old Omni 10.5, a design long since superseded by the Jack 10. I had forgotten how bloody good this modest cab is. Not for everything mind you. I would not bring it for a five string bass on a loud pop/rock gig. But it makes a fretless bass sing jazz like no other cab.
I just felt like sharing. Stepping off the soap box now.

Anton, loved the story. That's great to hear, mostly about playing and enjoying yourself, but the Omni too. Thanks for that. Nice addition to my day.
