Re: What's to chat about?
I used the Theseus pedal yesterday playing with the polka band at an Octoberfest festival. Two JBL VRX per side with subs - so it was pretty good thump.
Tele through the pedal to my Mark V:25 Boogie. Really liked it. One channel was pretty much a clean boost to get leads over the top. Second channel was some nice dirt for the rock stuff. A couple of times when things were getting pretty loud on stage - I turned 'em both on....
It's a good pedal and I'd suggest it to anyone who wants to build a two-channel (really three when you engage both) overdrive pedal.
Can't wait to try it with my Les Paul with my rock band.

I want to issue this warning......what you are about to see may be disturbing to many viewers. Discretion is advised.
And the blame is squarely on Seth, since he asked for it.

It wasn't the photo, Bruce. It was your reply that had me heartily chuckling this morning. Thanks, I needed that! You're an Ace of Spades, Bruce. The best of the best.
Got a kick outta the photo too. Thanks for posting that up.

Re: What's to chat about?
You're too good for me and I don't deserve you anyway. Plus, we'd never be able to agree who the big spoon is. So, I think you're right. It's just not going to work out. It's me. I'm the problem. I just need to focus and work on myself.

Re: What's to chat about?
So, we know you've got the country outfit's covered.
Octoberfest lederhosen? Check, covered.
Celtic kilt? Unverified. Photo evidence required.
General rock star garb, black leather pants, studded leather bracelets, and black eyeliner? Unverified. Photo evidence required.
The more I think about it, being a musician could really be a lot of fun. If I played guitar, I think I'd have a whole rolling wardrobe full of outfits/costumes!
Disco band garb? Unverified!
Reggae!!!
Hahaha

Re: What's to chat about?
Other than the Polka band, there ain't much fashion in my fashion....Seth wrote: ↑Wed Oct 11, 2023 1:41 pm So, we know you've got the country outfit's covered.

Blue jeans and a black T-shirt for the Rock band. Spandex? I'd need Expandex do cover my voluptuous body. Leather pants? I'd have PITA chasing me down for having to slaughter multiple cows just to get a pair of shorts.
I do, however, sport some varied headwear depending on the genre and weather. Not for fashion mind you, but to keep the patrons from complaining about the reflections off my hairless pate.
I'm not a pretty man......
Not that I wasn't once upon a time, but that's what 43 years of marriage will do to you. As a matter of fact, yesterday was the anniversary of my nuptials. Today begins Year 44 of Her Highness Cary's Age of Female Dominance aka The Reign of Terror.
In fact, I wrote a song several years ago about our relationship.....well, the relationship of every hen-pecked husband out there, which of course, means all of you.....
Stand Up – Sit Down
Stand Up. Sit down.
Always telling me what to do.
Turn left. No! Right.
Ever since we said I do.
Turn the radio up. No, turn it down
The heater’s set too high.
If she didn’t tell me what to do,
Don’t know if I’d get by.
I used to have a mind of my own,
But I lost it along the way.
Musta’ been about the time that we got married
And I haven’t seen it to this day.
I’m the King of my castle, or maybe not,
She hasn’t told me yet today.
I don’t go deciding on my own
Or, there could be hell to pay.
I guess the good news is that my
brain is barely used.
If I put it up on Ebay – I could claim that it was new.
Thinking is overrated, or least she tells me so.
But she always keeps me up to date, tells me what I need to know.
Don’t get me wrong, I ain’t complainin’ here
Just trying to state a fact.
It was my choice to take those vows
Together we made a pact.
Didn’t know that my life would change when I said
I’d honor and obey
But at least I don’t ever have to take the blame
Cause we do it all her way.
Stand Up. Sit down.
Always telling me what to do.
Turn left. No! Right.
Ever since we said I do.
Turn the radio up. No, turn it down
The heater’s set too high.
If she didn’t tell me what to do,
Don’t know if I’d get by.
Sorry, but this is the kinda' crap you get out of me when I wake up at 1:30am and can't go back to sleep.

Re: What's to chat about?
Life stays interesting.....
A local venue is trying to find a new soundman. The guy in there is a jaded old curmudgeon.....no Seth, it's not me (but, the description does fit). He doesn't know he's getting fired. They've called me in to try and figure out what they have and vet the two young college students that are going to try and take over. They've both been through the program at college for sound, but I'm sure it's 99% studio.
I'm meeting them tomorrow morning to figure out what they know and need to know. The venue is firing the soundman after his gig tonight. I'm hoping he doesn't sabotage the system or take off with the mics as there is some question as to who owns what.
Oh, and the main college kid needs to be able to get in there and run two shows this weekend. And I have gigs both nights, so it will be trial by fire.
I kinda' got pulled into this by one of the bands that plays there.....not exactly a perfect situation.
And yeah, they asked me to take the job.....uhhhh....no. Not interested, nor have the time for a full-time job. But, it may be a project - and I do find some satisfaction in fixing stuff.
Stay tuned......

Re: What's to chat about?
Ohhhhh, that would not be a situation that I would want to be in. Actually, not for any of the role players in the scenario you presented. What I mean is that I would not want to be the one that: is fired
: is doing the firing
: is the replacement
: is sorting out the mess
Hopefully, everything will go smoothly.
