Another thought, test and set the limiter with a 60Hz sine wave. If you're high passed at 50 and using a 50Hz tone, it's probably already rolling off a few dB depending on which filter type you selected. IIRC, a LR slope is down 3dB at the designated "crossover" frequency. -3dB is equivalent to down half power. Could go toward explaining something... or not. Just thinking out loud.

Now that you mention it, I have the HP filter set at 50 Hz with LR48 slope. Maybe that could be something.

On a somewhat unrelated note, I have a Mackie DL1608 which isn't equipped with a sub out. I set the system up mono but that meant I either had to run it as a L/R system and let the PA2 split the highs from lows or run an aux fed sub but I don't have much experience doing that.
The downside to running it all as L/R is the subs are mono as well. I'd prefer to keep them stereo since they're omnidirectional but I digress. It wasn't really noticeable with the music tracks but it could've been with a band.
The overall sound was fantastic so I don't have complaints. But if anyone has tips or suggestions if love to hear them.
Something tells me I should upgrade in the future.

The subs being omni-directional isn't the reason why there's nothing to be gained by having them stereo. The reason is because they can't be directionally located, so there's no such thing as left/right content. That's why engineers have been summing all content below 100Hz to mono since the 1970s, be it on a recording or live.

Oh I almost forgot. All 8 speakers fit into the bed of my truck. That's a plus for me.
After a handful of loads and unloads......you'll get a 6x10 trailer with a ramp and your life will change......not only easier, but you will only load and unload half the number of times.

It's funny you mention that. I almost bought one last year. But I was getting ahead of myself since I have no active need to transport my gear and it'd be just one more thing I'd have to move when I retire.
Also, my little truck is limited in it's towing capacity. The tongue limit is 1620 lbs and the max tow weight is 6800 lbs. My plan after I retire and buy a bigger truck will be to also get a trailer that I can leave loaded.

6x10 cargo trailers generally are rated at 3500lbs...tongue weight will be 350-400 pounds max...no need for a larger truck...in fact, you could pull it with a compact crossover.
I've got a 6x10 open landscape trailer that I've pulled with my Honda Fit. I had an enclosed 5x8 trailer that I could pull with anything...
Also, if you're planning on moving, a trailer is worth its weight in gold.

I'd envisioned a single V stack, minus V-plate, corner loaded. But, it sounds like you may have had two separated stacks in hopes of a stereo image? How did you actually have the subs stacked?
I've always done my live mixes mono, zero panning whatsoever, except for IEM mixes. And have always kept the subs clustered in one stack.
If I had your gear to work with and it was me, I would start with high passing everything but the bass, kick, etc. in the mixer (12dB/octave is all it offers) and let the PA2 manage the crossover. I'd probably only utilize one of the main outputs, not both L&R. It sounds as though that's essentially what you did.
I haven't experimented too much with Aux Fed Subs yet either. It's on my list to try more.

Thanks, NukePooch. Yeah I guess I should've thought of that. I spent 8 1/2 years in Europe and all those guy haul big trailers with their tiny hatchback BMWs and Mercedes. Why in the world would I think my truck wouldn't handle it?

You're right, I split it mono from the board and into the respective L/R inputs of the PA2. From there I went out L/R (high and low) into the amps. It definitely was a stereo image and it sounded great.
The only reason I use mono is for multiple singers, two guitar players, and toms. I like to pan those to get a more surround picture....mainly the toms.
I have a ton of experimenting to do. Although the lions share of that will be in the future. I can't wait to get into a band and start doing this full time again. That waiting is the worst.

Over here we think of those as "big cars". Back in the days I have hauled a small trailer with a Peugeot 205. Your current truck would be considered huge

Yes , a normal size pickup truck over here is a ford ranger. A ford f150 is considered huge. A f150 raptor is just short of a monstertruck

. My dad drives a ram 1500 and can't park in any normal parkingspace

Funny you mention that. I drove this truck to Paris, Limburg (Belgium), Prague, Salzburg, Innsbruck, Bled (Slovenia), Trieste, Pordenone, Milan, Zurich, and Kaiserslautern. Everywhere I went I had trouble parking. And everyone looked at me like I was crazy.

Damn. I'll bet your dad gets hit hard with road tax!!
