Our gig last night was a tight setup. I took my Wedgehorns along to try out the new one. I ended up using the old school version and loaned the new one with the melded array to the other guitarist and keyboard guy since they were tight for space and decided to share a single monitor. After the second set I asked how well they could hear it. The keyboard guy said he could hear himself just fine, plenty loud. The guitarist said, and this is a direct quote:
"I can hear myself better than I've ever been able to before. That's the best monitor I've ever used."
So I walked over and squeezed myself in behind his mic, then looked down at the monitor. It was pointed directly at the keyboard player, and at almost a 90 DEGREE ANGLE TO THE GUITARIST!. He was so far off-axis it was hard to believe he could hear himself at all, let alone better than ever before.
There you go, a testimonial from a middle of the road guy. When I initially told him about the new mods, he said: "I'm guessing at some point these changes don't make a whole lot of difference."
Guess again!

Wow! Tim, I'm sold. I was thinking of building four of these, I might reconsider after hearing what your guitarist said. Or do you think four is good; 2 for lead singer 1 each to the bass and lead guitar (I got IEM)?
Drumming is a way of life.
