Eminence dealer in Sydney Australia

#1 Post by Marko Rooseno »

I don't know if anyone knows this but..

To all Sydneysiders, just to inform that I've found a place that supplies Eminence speakers. Go to Smithy's in Camperdown, details are:

address:
Smithys PA and Stage Gear Pty/Ltd
115 Salisbury Rd. (near Cardigan St)
Camperdown NSW 2050
Australia

phone: 9550 1177
fax: 9550 1512

website: www.smithys.com.au

email: sales@smithys.com.au

So far I know they have the following models:

- Basslite s2010 about $200
- Basslite s2012 about $220
- Deltalite II 2510 about $270
- Deltalite II 2512 about $300

I'll keep you guys updated if I know about other models or other places.

If price is still a tad expensive (IMHO, as with anything in Aussie), it may be better bring from overseas from BFM builders/part suppliers. But at least if you need it real quick then you know where to find it.

At those prices it would be cheaper to fly to Kansas, buy them from Leland and take them home.

Yea, people around the world, if you come to Oz thinking you'll find cheap stuff.. Think again..

No really, I would agree that ordering them from the States (incl shipping) would be cheaper..

The only other supply of wide range of drivers that i have found in Australia is P~Audio > http://www.cannononline.com.au/catalogue/c6/c10/c94

It's already been mentioned that in the past p~audio specs have been suspect, however at the prices we have to pay for eminence gear in Australia, and the general good feedback on p-audio stuff here, I wonder if it might not be worth at least testing some of their drivers out ?

They do have a range of neo drivers and provide recone kits / diaphragms also, and it is all available locally, orders over $125 incur no freight charges.

There is also http://jaycar.com.au for speaker hardware, connectors etc.
