Re: Happy 4th of July!
After sweating off 6 pounds yesterday doing an outdoor show, I though that was the temperature.

Here's the band I was mixing on the 4th.....doing all 90s stuff....this is one of few songs that I knew.

This is a once-in-a-while band....they all play in other projects. All good guys...
But, it really was hot and I truly lost 6 pounds from the time the left til I got back home 7 hours later.

Re: Happy 4th of July!
Well, gotta' fess up.....been on Zepbound for 10 months. Down 25 pounds. Tried to do it the old-fashioned way, but at almost 69 and a bad back....the stuff that used to keep me in check, I can't do anymore. Playing golf 3-5 times a week and playing full-court basketball 2-3 times a week kept things in check. But, Covid hit and we lost the gym, my back got really bad, so haven't played basketball or golf in over 6 years.himhimself wrote: ↑Mon Jul 06, 2026 5:38 pmMore fun, and way cheaper than GLP-1's, Bruce!Bruce Weldy wrote: ↑Mon Jul 06, 2026 10:19 am But, it really was hot and I truly lost 6 pounds from the time the left til I got back home 7 hours later.![]()
Only "play" I've got left in me is guitar and my joints.

Get an E-Bike. You still pedal for the exercise, using just enough electric assist to keep it comfortable, especially on hills. I ride mine 2k miles a year. If go to the store it's on my bike, going to the doctor, dentist optometrist, whatever. I'm about to head out now for my daily ten mile ride. Best of all you can ride even in 100 degree heat without discomfort, as you're always creating your own 15 MPH breeze.

I've actually thought about that some. Might look like an elephant on a unicycle at the circus, but it's certainly an option.Bill Fitzmaurice wrote: ↑Tue Jul 07, 2026 11:28 am Get an E-Bike. I do still go to the gym and lift 2-3 times a week.

Get an E-Bike and you can ride to the gym. Really, it's great. No impact, no stress, and riding around is fun, as opposed to a stationary bike, which is work.

Bring your water bottle with!!! I've seen you in your local temps, haha.Bill Fitzmaurice wrote: ↑Tue Jul 07, 2026 4:31 pm Get an E-Bike and you can ride to the gym. Really, it's great. No impact, no stress, and riding around is fun, as opposed to a stationary bike, which is work.
