The Jack 15 Lite with 3015 driver I have is doing great. Currently powered by a higher powered HiFi receiver. The amp module board I had originally was just too weak. Nonetheless I want to add a sub. Currently building the Tuba 60 because of the recorded music style I enjoy. I have the Dayton SPA500DSP amp already on hand for the Tuba, and since the Dayton PAA plate amp has been discontinued, have been looking at the Hypex models that they stock now for the J15L main.
The big question is, which amp would you get? I have been leaning towards the FA252 wired BTL for headroom at 8 ohm load.
I also need to connect these two amps for signal. Do I just use RCA unbalanced or ? Both amps also have their own version of DSP as well (currently have passive crossovers in J15L). I ask because my source signal is a Bluetooth adapter that has 1/8” male jack, but can be adapted of course.
Thank you for the help. I’ve read a good amount, but just want to be sure of things before proceeding and I am a novice at pro audio rigging.

Unbalanced is OK if the interconnect is short and both amps are plugged into the same outlet with short cables.

Re: J15L and T60 amps
Thank you, Bill. Probably not the best way then. These amps/cabs will source their power from an inverter style generator. XLR is the way then.
This may be an aside, in plans the T60 with 15” driver has a 60 volt limit and running 10 volts below that has a cursory effect.
At 6 ohms for the Lab 15, with my amp likely able to drive 45-ish volts to it, am I really missing out? Would the performance outdoors still be rather inspiring? Ha.

Re: J15L and T60 amps
45v will still reach 125dB.
Re: J15L and T60 amps
The difference between 50 volts and 60 volts is 1.6dB... If you had the ability to instantaneously switch back and forth, did an A/B test while listening to a solid tone/sinewave, you'd probably hear a slight change between the two voltages. But, like sliding the main attenuator up or down one or two dB in the middle of a show, you'll likely not hear anything but what your thoughts are telling you that you should hear. If you told someone else to listen closely and to tell you if you turned it up or down in the middle of a show, they probably wouldn't be able to tell you what you did. So... not as much of a difference as a 10v (from 50 to 60) difference seems it should/would be. A 10v difference, from 10 to 20 volts, would be 6.0dB.Benflitv30 wrote: ↑Tue Jun 02, 2026 8:26 pm ... the T60 with 15” driver has a 60 volt limit and running 10 volts below that has a cursory effect.
