Re: Questions for Table Tuba build
did what you guys said and thanks for the tip- 5x5 will do the trick- soon as this honeydew list gets done I'm gonna start this.
Re: Questions for Table Tuba build
Finally got started on the build- first 2 panels in and learned a few things.
1. Even with wax paper, PL adhesive squeezes out all over the place. Ruined two 90 degrees jigs removing them. Next pair will get some car wax on the sides to see if that helps with release.
2. Pay attention to the build sheet and trust it... I've read it 7-8 times now before starting and last night I cut the blocks for the baffles and glued them up, went to bed. 2 hours later woke in a panic and ran to the shop pulled the blocks back off because I thought I put them on the wrong side. Got 4 off and then went "wait what?" crap, they were right in the first place.... New baffle board on the list for tonight.
One question about wiring the woofer- its the Dayton LS10-44, dual voice coil. Should I wire it in series or parallel? Seems series if the way to go but not sure.

Series for an 8 ohm load, parallel for 2 ohms. As for the PL ooze use half what you think you should.

Re: Questions for Table Tuba build
No need for wax paper. Cut the corner off the 90 degree jig so that it doesn't get into the corner.
Like this....if you zoom in, you can see the cut on the corner.
6 - T39 3012LF
4 - OT12 2512
1 - T24
1 - SLA Pro
2 - XF210

Re: Questions for Table Tuba build
I stopped using wax paper a couple builds ago, in favor of regular blue painters tape. PL doesn't stick to it and it's way easier to apply where you want it.

Re: Questions for Table Tuba build
I like the larger clamps- may need to make some of those up- mine are the ones suggested in the plans.
Same for the tape, great idea.
Series it is, I don't think most amps want a 2 ohm load...

Re: Questions for Table Tuba build
panels 3 and 4 in and look good- tape trick was brilliant.
