About three years ago I bought an old pair of La Scalas that I’ve refurbed and modded. I built a pair of THTLP subwoofers to accompany them. I use the system to listen to music in my home. I’m pleased with how my setup sounds, but I’d like to make it better.
There are a number of interesting midrange and tweeter horns and drivers available. I’d like to experiment using some of them with a suitable bass horn. The La Scala bass bin is OK and the Peavey SP-1 seems to have a lot of fans.
With a suitable bass bin, I’d be able to try different 2-way and 3-way designs using different horns and drivers. I’d use active crossovers/DSP to integrate the pieces into a coherent whole.
Bill, do you offer plans for a bass bin suitable for home use — something like a La Scala or a Peavey SP-1?
Is there a BFM plan for a La Scala or SP1 type bass bin?

We don't do bass bins I'm afraid. The closest we have to a La Scala is a DR280, which I would never use in a home, unless said home is Buckingham Palace. Besides, there's no reason you can't use different drivers on the La Scala mid and HF horns.
