I've tried the cab with a Trace Elliot Series 6 GP7 and an Ashdown RM800. I've played around with the EQ but it just sounds bland, there is no punch, if I slap the open E it's just a muffled thud.
I'm going straight in.

That's strange.....if you rule out the cab and the head......have you tried a different bass?

I've tried 3 different basses and different leads.

Damaged drivers is a possibility, though it would be unusual. First I'd rule out the lowpass filter by connecting direct to the woofer.

Thanks Bill.
On this second build I have only fitted the woofer and connected directly to it.
I think it's time to try a different woofer.

Thanks Bruce.

Coincidentally, I messaged John earlier today to ask him about his cabs. I'm going to try the Lavoce driver.

I ordered a WAN123.00 last night, unfortunately the supplier has emailed to say they are now out of stock. They have suggested a WAF123.00 as an alternative unit, do you think this is a suitable driver for this cab?

WAF 123.00 has the same response as the WAN 123.00, it's just heavier. F= ferrite magnet, N= neo magnet.
