Hello Everyone. I am from and currently reside in Nigeria. So many beautiful things to say about my nation but, not about the current inflation and devaluation of our currency. Due to all this, purchasing stuff from America and other nations is hard, you manage to purchase the product and then find that shipping costs almost equal or in some cases even goes above the cost of the product itself.
There are some compression drivers from China that are commonly found here and are affordable. Thankfully I found data sheets for them on Soundtown's website. I have built two Otop 12s and six Otop 12 Jarrays all with 2khz XOs because the CDs I found back then have a resonance (fs) of 1.2khz which is too high for a 1.2khz XO as Bill states in the plans. I would really like to build more boxes of the Otops for my rental business and perhaps swap out the current CDs and was wondering if this CD which can be found locally here would work well with the 1.2khz crossover. It is stated to have a resonance of 0.51khz or 510hz I think and the frequency response graph suggests it can work fine from that frequency (I may be wrong and am open to being corrected and educated, this forum has educated me so well about speakers and live PA). I guess my major concern is with the sensitivity of the CD which is 105db compared to the F151m's sensitivity of 108.9db and the NSD2005's of 109db, will this driver's 105db be sufficient?

Another CD I am considering for the 1.2khz XO that is occassionally found here:

Re: Compression driver question
The specs look OK. Whether or not they sound good who knows? Also, they're not 1" drivers.
Re: Compression driver question
Thanks a bunch sir. I hope they sound good too, I'll give it a short and report back sir. They are 1" throat drivers, they name them 1 and 3/8" throat drivers because of the threaded mount, it mounts into an adapter that has a 1" exit, why they named them that way I don't know.

Re: Compression driver question
They must be quoting the diaphragm size. It should be the exit size, so that's the source of the confusion.
Re: Compression driver question
Oh yes that's true, 1.38/1.4 approximately I guess. Thanks for the clarification.
