Another other budget driver option?

#1 Post by joblow88 »

I just came upon this

Rockville RVW1500P8
https://www.rockvilleaudio.com/rvw1500p8/

The Qts is 0.003 out of range i know. Will it create much distortion with such a small margin?
7.5mm of xmax for 74.95$ is a pretty good deal.

I was planing to build a rig of 8 t48. 2 of them are going to be 3015 and the 6 other where planed to be GRS 15PT-8 but now im wondering if the rockville is a better deal.
https://www.parts-express.com/GRS-15PT- ... quantity=1

On forums i read that their car audio stuf can be garbage but i also read that their pro stuff was allwright... Anybody have experience or opinion that they could share?

thanks for the fedback

Qts is less of a concern than Qes. The higher the Qes the less suitable a driver is for horn loading. The same applies to low Fs. The 3015LF specs are ideal for the T48. The further you deviate from them the less optimal the result will be.

What about this? Would it perform like the the Eminence budget alternative (Bp1525?)
The Vd is similar? And its within the range

Very expensive with a low xmax for a sub driver.

6 - T39 3012LF
4 - OT12 2512
1 - T24
1 - SLA Pro
2 - XF210

I see, perhaps buying it second hand for approx 120$ and almost not worth that then. but then off course it is not a good budget driver option or an option at all new. Thanks!
