No worries.heavybdrums wrote: Thanks sooo much for posting and linking your build thread for us. I am in the process of building 2 wh 8's with the delta pro 8a drivers and also would like to paint the tweeter arrays. How did you prepare them for painting?(do you have to remove the elements from the back to do this ?).
Yes, to paint the piezo's, remove the screws from the back and carefully remove the back and the element. Set them aside somewhere safe while you paint. I used rattle tins to paint mine.
I recommend to remove the screws by hand (ie with a screwdriver) and put them back in the same way. You don't want to strip the piezo bodies. Don't ask me how I found that out!

You'll see links to my photobucket account for the image. That's how I put up images.
You can upload images directly to the forum, but the pics have to be the right size.
Not a problem with photobucket.
Upload to photobucket, upload, go to the pic, right click the [IMG] line (should say "copied"), then paste.
We're not as fortunate here in Australia, we don't get such items at our local hardware.heavybdrums wrote:Curious about the grille material, is it just hardware store bought expanded metal?
Mine was ordered from the manufacturer via a reseller. I bought an 8 x 4 sheet.
Yes, it's expanded aluminium, the aluminium itself about 1.6mm (roughly 1/16") thick. I got the non flattened style, it cost less.
Any Aussies wanting to get the same material, the manufacturer is the Lockyer group and this is the 12/20 product IIRC...
