BFM badges?

#1 Post by DaveMacKay »

Having completed a THTLP build, I'd like to dress up the cabinet nicely, and give credit where credit is due. In searching the forum, I found mentions of BFM badges that could be applied to cabinets. But all the posts were at least 5 years old.

Are BFM badges available?

I found this link in another plan.... http://billfitzmaurice.com/logo2.gif

From the plan: Add a professional touch to your cabs with this logo. Use the links to copy the original .gif image, size it as desired, print it at high resolution on photo quality paper, and use a piece of Plexiglas to protect it.

If I really wanted to do it, I'd probably look into getting some made on photosesitive anodized aluminum

I wonder what the cost would be to have a small batch made. Hmmm... (stroking my chin)
Build in process - 2 WH6, one Alpha 6a loaded, one PRV Audio 6MB250-NDY loaded

Two 2x6 shorty SLA Pro's
One T39, 16", 3012LF loaded
Tall AutoTuba, 20" wide, 2x 8" MCM 55-2421
TruckTuba, 8½" wide, 2x 8" MCM 55-2421

Somehow I KNEW where that link would go, yet I clicked on it anyway
BTW, Eminence sent me some really cool plastichrome badges that say Eminence Inside. They look very slick in the lower corner of the grill on my j-array cabs.
2xT30 (20", 3012LF)
2xT30 (21", 3012LF)
4xOtop J-array (Beta12, melded/straight piezos)
Truck Tuba (MCM)
Next up: 2xJack12 or family of table tubas

Of course I would recommend checking in with Leland first, but I do have some extra from a batch I had made a few years ago.
They are blank screened ink over .020 aluminum. ( picture is hard to see, but that’s not white for the lettering, just bare aluminum)
How many are you looking for?

2 - OTop8
2 - T39
8 - DR200
2 - DR250
9 - T24
6 - T45
1 - Auto Tuba

That's EXACTLY what I was thinking of! :hyper:

Thank-you for the kind offer. Although I'm only looking for two, because I'm located in Canada it would likely be simpler for me to have a local shop make a few of them.

Can you tell me what sort of shop made them for you, what you needed to provide them, and a rough idea of cost?

Thanks

I went through a local sign shop. They make everything from trophy’s to large store signs. I work in aviation and these guys also made some aircraft placards for us as well.
I provided them with the same .png file as some else posted here and they used that to turn it into a vector file. Apparently you can do that with Adobe illustrator.
I had to order quite a few to get the cost down to $5 something a piece.

Got to buy too many to make them cost effective.
