T60 Build, limiter settings

#1 Post by flashero »

Hi to all, soon the T60's will be finished :). I have a question about setting the limiters, for the LAB12 and LAB15 drivers, in the plans it says, that the voltage limit for the 12 is 50V and 15 60V. I will have a class d amplifier driving each box separately, the amp is rated 1000w 8Ohm peak, it has a built in dsp, with RMS and Peak limiter, should I set them both to the voltage limit?, or should the RMS limiter be lower?

Best regards

Set 'em both to the correct voltage.....BUT, also put a volt meter on the outputs and check them before ever connecting a speaker. If you don't know how to do this, we can tell you how.

6 - T39 3012LF
4 - OT12 2512
1 - T24
1 - SLA Pro
2 - XF210

So, RMS and Peak both to 50V (Lab12) and 60V (Lab15). Yes, I know how to meausure voltage, I will feed them with an 50Hz sinewave, because I don't have a true RMS meter.
