Extra db
Just thinking about my setup for an outdoor event coming up this holiday weekend. The area is quite hilly. Is there any benefit to setting up downhill or uphill? My gut says speakers aiming uphill at the listeners might reinforce the low frequency sound waves a little, but they have no idea. Every bit helps when outside so I thought I’d ask.

Aiming uphill will work better.

Thanks for the quick response, Bill. Can't wait to shake the neighborhood with the tubas again

This is interesting; would you elaborate?
2 DR250s, 2 27" Lab15 T-60s, 2 30" Neo Titan 39s, 1 Autotuba...and looking for more!

Picture the Hollywood Bowl, or Red Rocks, or any outdoor amphitheater, including the Coliseum of Rome and the theater at Delphi Greece. Long before there was amplification the ancients figured out how to maximize sound projection to an audience.

Interesting. When did it all go wrong, Mr. Bill?

Re: Extra db
Another successful outing with t30s and otops. Ran nonstop for about 8 hours without a glitch. I love these speakers!
