I arrived far too late to correspond with Lou C, but it's nice his posts are still here.

I was pondering how to make cored inductors, his suggestion to buy oversized and unwind is very good.
Also. I'll definitely be measuring piezos, if I ever use them..

I second the observation that capacitance meters are cheap and reliable. Also handy for measuring caps that have lettering too small for a flea to make out.

I'll probably give his method a shot in the future as well. If nothing else, just because I like experimenting.
