Newbie from south east London

#1 Post by tallevan »

Hello, all.

Bass player and gear tinkerer here.

I've done a lot of reading and am just trialing my first build of a BFM design (a Jack 10) with different drivers and amps.

Gear changes very slowly for me. I've been playing through the same amp and cabinets (Eden) for about 20 years, and am just starting to have trouble matching the volume up of our PA. Rather than swap my much-loved 400-watt head for some wierd expensive monster, I thought more efficient cabs might do the trick.

I've never got on with the typical 80's "smiley" EQ curve, preferring stronger mids. You can see where this is going..

I'll start a build thread in the appropriate forum.

I look forward to your comments, and the banter.

There is an attachments tab in the full editor under the topic review box. There is a size limit so you may have to resize.
