Might be less expensive to just get another rack....
I don't get racks....I build 'em!

The whole point was to replace a 2 channel with a 4 channel in order to keep the same rack and not have to set up an extra rack each time.

The cheapest 4 channel PLD is $1000.....and I'd still have to reverse the airflow.....

I was just looking for a cheap, easy fix .... but, I don't make enough from my little business to justify that kind'a money when I have three spare Crowns.

Anyway, I think I'll just let it sit....only 7 more gigs this summer anyway. Maybe I'll attack it in the fall. Hell, I may not even do the summer gig next year.....I'm gettin' older and the sun's gettin' hotter....

The i-Nuke 4 channel amps are fine for monitors. I know two local sound companies who have converted to them rather than build more map racks. They cannot sustain hard driving EDM subwoofer pounding, but for wedges they work just fine.
+1 on the Peavey IPR3000, I have been using a pair for 3-4 years now and they are going strong.

Welp, I made the leap and ordered a NU4-6000 for a church. Two channels will power small EVid sidefilles, and two channels will power small lobby/cryroom speakers. We shall see!

Dug up an old thread here, didnja'?

So, I guess I'll update also..... I did buy the NU4 to use for monitors. Reversed the fans so that the airflow is the same as all the Crowns in the rack. So far, it's been working fine on monitor duty, but that's been all inside gigs. In a few weeks, it will be outside 11 times in 10 weeks - we'll see how it holds up, but I don't expect any issues.

I'll update too. I have 2 going strong after almost a year of daily use.

Currently 1 is powering 4 DR250's, the other is powering 4 JBL Control 28's in a side room and 2 coronaoperator specials out front. No complaints.

On a side note, 1 Nu4-6000 is a perfect amp for 2 DR250's, and 2 dual T60's for a small EDM rig!
Built:
17" width 10" driver Autotuba
2 x 29" width dual Lab12 Tuba60
6 x DR250 2510/asd1001
In progress:
2 x DR250 2510/asd1001
For best results, point the loud end of the array towards the audience

@CoronaOperator
It's great to hear your positive results on the quality and reliability of the NU4-6000, after so many expressed so much fear, uncertainty, and doubt!

Personally I've experienced Behringer's quality has improved insanely since when they first started back in the 90s. It's probably time to let the past stay in the past.. My 2c. I'm not affiliated with them in any way either.
