When you enter the Digital Dj world you mainly have 2 software options, Serato or Traktor. Both software's connect to an external sound card that hook into you mixer/turntables which allow you to control the Mp3's as if you are using original Vinyl.
The problem ive always had with the external sound card is that it is well... external.
As a mobile DJ its annoying to spend the extra 2-3 mins (i know i sound like a baby), connecting/disconnecting that external sound card. it is also hard to not look a little messy. ofcourse you can always get the $700-2.5k mixers that have the soundcard factory internal(ie: Rane 62 or traktor z2). but ive always been a big fan of the Behringer DDM4000 (pictured above). although you have behringers build quality, it is an amazing mixer that in my option is the best when it comes to MIDI. i believe 90% of this mixer is midi mappable. It even has a built in crossover. had it since 2009, has not failed me once. upgraded with an innofader....
anyways i came across a youtube video from DJ booth where DJ Blaze explained how easy it is to internally store your soundcard inside most mixers.

if you have all the parts it really can be completed in less than a couple hours. sorry i didnt take any pics of my process of drilling holes. for the RCA couplers, use a step drill bit to cut the holes. i wish i figured that out earlier in the process.
With the new Denon DS1 sound card that looks almost as small as a smartphone, i think this mod can be done on almost any mixer.
