I fit 4 t48s, 4 otops, amp rack, cable bin, and mixer case in this (with NO room to spare).

Wow. I'm amazed you get 4 T48s in there, let alone all the rest! You must "Tetris-pack" that thing so that only you would know how to unpack it without getting killed.

2 30" or 2 24" side by side through the back hatch. 2 18" stacked on top of each other through the side door perpindicular to the other 2 t48s. 4 otops on top of 24" or 30" t48s, amp rack and cable bin behind them and close the hatch done. (

(this is why we build different sizes  )

I'd be afraid for the glass, with those heavy cabs banging around back there. But, it works for you, obviously. I"m just awed that you fit THAT much stuff in there. I'll have to buy a trailer for my rig. I forsee a few UHaul rentals in the beginning though.

Thanks hifibob,

It was actually midnight friday night when I made the decision. There had to be bass at this particular venue and my pair of 18" direct radiators was not going to cut it.

For those who think I'm spoiled with my packspace, the trailer holds:
4 t48s
2 18" direct radiators
2 mixing desks
2 cable trunks
1 lighting trunk
2 microphone cases
2 Mackie SRM 450s
4 pole stands
small system (2 10" 2 ways with powered mixer and extra stands)
double width amp rack (48 rack spaces)
LCD projector trunk (holds 4)
800' of 10 and 12 awg power cables
600' of 14 awg power cables
lighting console
6 mic stands
2 music stands
keyboard stand
3 Karastan 6x9 wool carpets
and 8 - 10 milk crates full of small stuff.

In the back of the pickup I carry 4 sections of scaffolding with all the bracing legs and planks.

OK.... I guess I'm kinda spoiled. :D
BFM rig:

Wow, you've got the full production! Video too? Very nice! I am starting my DJ business from scratch. Though I have a 16-channel analog mixer, I don't have a cable snake, nor a drum mic set, etc. So "live sound" is out for now. Once the T48s are finished, I just need to spend a few hundred bucks on some cheap lights and I'm ready to go. Can't be a mobile DJ with no lights.

Not to be accused of resting on my laurels, after 2 gigs under a sheet I decided to go ahead and get some black base coat on these monsters. I also built one of my proposed fleet of four well-overbuilt caster pallets. The only thing missing from the pallet are the end boards that will stick up ~1" from the deck. The little steel pieces are for ratchet straps to hook into. I happened into 16 of those wonderful casters and intend to make good use of them.

Now those are monster dollies! Those wheels are pretty pricey. It's great that you're putting them to good use.

My son's band was invited to play at a local tourist farm on Saturday. No advertising. No pay. No pressure. Just a (windy) day of fun. Reminded me of 'Live at Pompeii'... T48s were happy.

Very nice. It almost looks like the olive fields in Pompeii (I've been there). I like the roadcases with everything built into them. Snap on the front and back and away you go.

Looking at that pic, I don't think you have been following the recommended audience size figures... for your 4 T48s that should be 250-800 people! You're just being greedy!!
