PRO SLA finished

#1 Post by DanielNY »

Just wanted to share a finished pic of the new addition to my BFM family line. Wasn't sure what to expect with these but they have turned out to be the perfect size and form for small events. The sound is very even in coverage and requires very little EQ. They also fit in any size trunk... very impressed so far. At first I wanted mini SLA's but I'm glad I made full size versions. Of course, with slight modifications. Can anyone see the difference????

Before Fitzmaurice, big bass could only be had with just a hook and a nightcrawler.

Thanks DJ, the ports on the side double as hand holds and they are actually comfortable and easy to carry. Getting them up on the stand is a breeze, the tall stance means you can get them on the stand in the lower most position and only have to raise them a bit to get into the optimal height. feel very sturdy on the stand...

Awesome work, they look wicked!

I'll bite first. I reckon it's the grills/no side overhang that is different. They look great.

What crowd and room size are you using them for? Sub?

Jonoskip, good eye!

I removed the 1" lip on the L/R sides and had some custom grills made to wrap around the sides instead. I thought it gave a more pro finish and less in the way of the array, which I thought was a bit much.

For the summer months I get a lot of small BBQ and patio deck gigs, even a pool party or two and some are even freebies for which I don't want to bring a full rig to. These are slim enough to place out of the way and they don't stand out. I'm sure there will come other uses but those are the near future plans...
