I use a acoustic sponge/foam it is about 10mm thick. I then stick it to the metal grill with glue.
Really gives it a pro finish I must say.

I was wondering about that, they're grill on the inside and then foam on top?

Yep first grill then foam gets glued to the grill.

Hi Jim, unfortunately not but what I used is that excess strip that a person cuts off from the mouth panels (page 9 of the latest OT12 plans shows what I'm talking about)
The angle is perfect to use and you glue them about 10mm in from the edge of the cab on the left and right sides. The flat edge is now perfect to secure the grills on to.
Hope it makes sense.

If you do outdoor gigs just remeber to lift them at least I,5 metres off the ground and the sound will travel like you can't believe.

Hi all

Had my second 'Big Gig' this past weekend and am pleased to say that the BFM OT12 and T48 combination continued to impress the big guns here in South Africa :hyper:
It is such a pleasure to set up, switch on the system and everything sounds like sweet honey to the ears.

We had some very popular artists in the line up and the people really packed in. The weather was great and the outside venue was really amazing under the stars.

Some pics of Saturday nights show.

This one is from backstage towards the crowd

Front of House picture, if you look carefully you can see the OT12 stacks on both sides of the stage.

BFM rocks :cowboy:

Nice one Pulseman.

Great to hear that the big guns in SA is taking note of BFM.

Great to know that up north artists like Leanie May (The lady singing in the pics) are making use of BFM gear.

NOW if I only can get my second set of OT 12s and T48s completed I can start turning the Western Cape to BFM as well.
Built:

Four 24" T48s 3015LF
Four OT12s (Delta Pro 12)

Busy With:

Four OT12s
Three WH10

Hey pulseman

8 DR250s
8 t48s
4 wedge horns

What amps would you recommend for this rig?

By the way nice system!!!

Hi jesuchete
jesuchete wrote:I will be in SA for a visit soon. Where can i get those synq amps.
The company here in South Africa that deals with synq products is "Sound and Light City" they are based in Midrand Johannesburg (http://www.soundandlightcity.co.ca)
If you have a registered company or know someone in South Africa who has one and register with them you will get a good dealer discount.
jesuchete wrote:What amps would you recommend for this rig?
Most guys here on the forum are QSC/Crown amp fans but in South Africa these are over priced and the synq's can match most of them when it cames to specs and are much cheaper.
I've been using these amps for a while now and they have not let me down as yet. :D
As you say you are comming to SA soon so while you are here, it might be worth your while to check these synq's out.
They come in three models (http://en.synq-audio.com/products/10270/DIGIT-series)

Enjoy your visit to SA and thanks for your comment about my system.
