I recently purchased some tannoy precision 8d active monitors, one of which looks like it has perhaps fallen at some point. The damaged cone has a crease on it which has formed a ridge on the front side of the cone but cant be felt or seen on the inside of the cone.

I contacted tannoy who qouted me £117 for a new driver, no re-cone kit is available
I will cough up the money for the new driver if I need to but thought repairing it is worth a try.
So far I have cut the ridge off with a stanley blade, sanded lightly with 400 grit sand paper and applied 3 coats of superglue, sanding lightly in between coats. So far this is giving good results but the cone is still dis-colored.
What would you guys suggest in terms of repair and paint?
