hmmmm.....I wonder if I was to run a bead of superglue around the outline of the phase plug if that would lock it down. The edges are solid with the PL soaked into it.

Good point, thanks.

Bruce,

I would really like to see if you could help me build T48's when I'm ready to do it. I love the quality of your work!

This was the sole reason I decided agains the grill on mine. I was worried about rattling/vibration noises.

I'm planning on putting grills on these and retrofitting the old ones. Any suggestions on what type of grills?
How big of a perforation?
Screen bent on the bottom and top?
Foam?

Do the big box stores carry anything that is appropriate? Or, is it a mail order only item?

Sweetness man...very nice looking boxes. Mine are a little more ragged looking, but they seem nice and sturdy.and I'm about to start working on the piezos too.

Piezos done.....

Not as pretty as some I've seen. Glue squeezed out the front side. Is everybody painting them to make 'em look so good? And isn't that a little tough now that you can't take off the backs?

Oh well, I'll put grills on 'em.

Got the holes for the jack plates cut out and recessed.

Braces for array also in. Added a filler at the bottom. Didn't like to look of the spaces on top and bottom. I figured if I stack a box on top, it will put the array closer to the one on top.

While painting can cover up woodworking mistakes, I hate letting go of the bare wood...but it's got to be done. Cabs are now primered with flat black paint. Duratex is coming next.

Yes on painting the tweets. Haven't gotten any of the crazy glued up ones yet, so not sure what I'll do when that time comes.
