I just read some information at the DBX forums and it looks like I can setup the system as a 2X6 with for the following:

HPF & LPF for the Titans
HPF & LPF for the Otops
HPF & LPF for the Jack 10 monitors

And the three sections can be EQ'd as well.

Downside is I don't have a brickwall limiter but a soft knee limiter whatever that means. I guess I will just have to keep theh levels down.

While the limiter isn't a "brickwall" limiter, I set mine up and tried over-driving the outputs and it held steady at the 56 volts that I was sending to the T39s - it never went over.

So right now I can get my hands on the following:

XTI 2000 $520.00 (Plus $100.00 Mail In Rebate)
XTI 1000 $400.00 (Plus $50.00 Mail In Rebate)
DBX Drive Rack PA+ $390.00
Cyber Monday Instant Savings $150.00

So basically $520.00+$400.00+$390.00-$150.00=$1160.00 + Shipping for XTI 2000, XTI 1000, Drive Rack PA+

With Mail In Rebate it comes down to $1160.00-$150.00=$1010.00+ Shipping.

Should I skip the DriveRack and deal with a laptop and Free RTA?

My advice is to go with the cheaper XLS Drivecore series instead of the XTI. Use the savings to buy the DriveRack.

It is much more versatile and offers features that don't come on the XTIs.

Just my opnion - more bang for the buck.

Problem is with the XTI Rebate the XLS series drives are only $100.00 cheaper so I figure for $100.00 I get the 2 XTI amps.

Also if I go with the XTI's only and eliminate the DBX I save about $285.00 from the price of purchasing 2 XLS amps and the DBX. This is getting tough now.

Look, there isn't one best way to do this. Everybody here has different opinions on how to put together a system. Don't get in a hurry (there will be another sale tomorrow...and the next day). Keep reading, asking questions and learning.

Throughout that process, you'll figure out what meets your specs and expectations. And you'll probably make a few mistakes, but if you make them with quality equipment - you can always sell it and try again. So, stay away from the junk, decide what you really want to accomplish, and you'll be fine.

Just pulled the trigger on the XTI2000, XTI1000, and the DBX Driverack PA+. For the price I can't complain. Thanks for the help. I'll be posting soon with setup questions.
