otop 15
I am finished with the two otop 15s with the flat arrays. I am looking at purchacing a new amp today and am wondering what the right power rating would be. I put the neo kappite 15s with the piezo that were called for in the plan. Eminence rates the 15s at 450 watts and music at 900 watts. I was unalbe to find if the 450 is RMS or what. 70.7 percent of peak is RMS in the electronics world so I dont know where to music 900 rating comes from.

Re: otop 15
The 450 should be RMS. 2xRMS seems like industry standard for "program" or "music" power ratings.

So a 1000 watt bridge amp should be fine with these ran in parallel

No. Never bridge. Bridging is properly used to deliver higher voltage output into a high impedance load. If you aren't pushing a 16 ohm load you don't want to bridge.billgwaltney wrote:So a 1000 watt bridge amp should be fine with these ran in parallel
IMO anything rated for 300w/8ohms per channel or more is plenty enough to drive OTop 15s, and four of them at that.
