I might just roll on some primer and duratex.. They dont have to be pretty since only the mouths will be exposed. The cabs will be under the stage all 8 lined up side by side.
Please tell me you're going to at least try for a full power test in the interest of science...
I"ll definitely push them as far as my shops electrical will handle these Crown Macrotechs :loler:

Christ...8 T60s next to each other, and 3 DR250s per side, pushed by ample power...next time I get back to see my family in NY, I'm making a drive up, Bob. I'll bring a CD of tunes I want to hear through your rig. And earplugs. And Jack Daniels. And my health insurance card.

Bob, do you have any idea of what you have built?
You will have a very short period of time when you first fire them all up at full power and this very thought will race through your head.
What have I done?
Then the perma smile will return to your face in short order and it will be gone.
Welcome to BFM bliss.
Good work man!

TimpBizkit wrote:Well you've got to 'Dancestronauts sized' rig now! When you get to 16 you get a tall reach forklift and try setting it up like this thing http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WliHKRX1UKY only with DRs and Tubas!

I'll tell you who else has a lot of Tuba 60s and that is Shamir DJShowtime Simmons on the facebook page.

One thing I'm sure you'll find is that a group of subwoofers - especially horns - are greater than the sum of their parts!
I tell ya Tim.. That wall of Kickers wouldnt touch this wall of Tubas.. The insane amount of pressure these 8 Tubas can make in my garage is down right filthy!! This type of sledgehammer Bass can only be felt in the small confined areas of a competition spl car/truck and even then it doesnt have the big full sound this rig can belt out..

I just checked out that guy on FB.. Holy shit he has a lot of Tubas! Oddly he wants to sell them all :noob:

That is the most awesome picture I have ever seen on this website. I'm not sure I can fully imagine what that sounds and FEELS like. Bob; do you have a large-ish, open lot behind the shop? Can you get that rig outside and let it rip? I'm sure the tin walls of the shop are giving echoes from hell. Not to mention you might actually BREAK your shop if you crank it.

Amazing.
I'm not sure why, but my brain only saw the stack of T60's for the first half a dozen looks at this pic, Then the DR's came into view lol

I can only half imagine what it all sounds like as well, it's totally different league to my rig.
Good on you! To date you've shown some great build skills and take stuff on board without fuss.
I hope what you've built so far exceeds what you expected in terms of performance and excites you about completing enough cabs for your venues...
Built:
DR 250: x 2 melded array, 2x CD horn, March 2012 plans.
T39's: 4 x 20" KL3010LF , 2 x 28" 3012LF.
WH8: x 6 with melded array wired series/parallel.
Bunter's Audio and Lighting "like"s would be most appreciated...
