Anybody use these? I have a friend that uses the plasma screen cases and he likes them, but hasn't used anything else.
I'm need a bunch of the 4x par can cases to house the 16 LED Par64's I just got. I'm going with 4x per case because I sometimes send out 4,8,12, etc.. etc.. I don't always run all 16.
Just looking for people's takes on these, obviously these aren't as strong as ATA cases but what I'm looking for is stack-ability and keeping the pars clean and unscratched. I'll probably be the only one moving these- so beating them up isn't an issue either.
I may just order one and eBay it if I don't like it.

Re: Tuffbox Cases
A friend has one for his snare drum, not bad for a budget case

I am a strong believer of "you get what you pay for"
IMO I say those cases are worth about 5 yrs if well taken care of when gigging out every week. A hair more than what you buy there and you can make your own flight case with 3/8" or 1/2" (being a bit heavy) and it will last many yrs after you bury those tuff boxes. IMO

Re: Tuffbox Cases
Good budget case but Scott is right. They get pretty beat up after a few years use. A lot depends on what you're going to load into them. If it's just par cans or lights I would be OK with Tuff boxes. Just make sure you put plenty of foam in them.
For heavy gear (keyboards, mixers etc,) their not that great. The straps stretch and eventually they blow apart!

Re: Tuffbox Cases
Yeah, this is all what I was figuring on my own.
The intent wasn't to get something to replace the ATA case, I just didn't want to spent more than what the case is holding on the case. I know I could probably build something, but I have enough to do with building my BFM cabs- I'd like to just get something pre-made that looks pretty. Job done.
I also believe in the "get what you pay for" mantra, which is why my thousands in amps and processing are in shock racks. Just don't want to spend the same amount of money to house a bunch of $139 LED pars.
