The O15TB with 3015LF driver seems to be an ideal heavy hitting single cab rig for bass. I'd like to know how a pair of J112's loaded with 3012HO and either the melded piezos or NSD2005 would compare to it. Any chance of getting J112 charts with these 3012HO options? For a bass rig, assume the J112's were equipped with HF on/off switch and stacked with HF "On" for the top cab and "Off" for the bottom cab. The 3012HO's are good down to 50 Hz, displace 330 cm3 and limited at about 300 watts each. This would be 660 cm3, 600 watts at 4 ohms for the 3012HO pair versus 846 cm3, 450 watts at 8 ohms for the 3015LF.

It looks like if your amp was capable of 450 watts into 8 ohms the O15TB would still move more air but a 70lb cab is harder to move single handed up and down stairs. 100.5 dB at 50 Hz is very solid bass for the pair of 3012HO-loaded J112's and the mid hump between 250-700 Hz would give them a lot of punch and presence. The Omni looks to have more ultimate low end and a bit more even response while the Jacks would a little easier to move and very efficient. Tough choice. Either one would be a monster. Any other thoughts on this?

makes an interesting comparison. with the 3012LF, going from 20" wide to 30" wide makes a massive difference.

the 3012LF is clearly the killer driver, with a 20" 3012LF going pretty close to keeping up with a 30" wide 2012 powered T39.

but what i'd like to know is: what the hell was the mystery 10" driver (blue trace) that looks to be very close to the 3012LF?! or is that a mistake...

a thought for a useful extension to the [spl] code - wildcards in the filenames.

so if i wanted to see all widths of a T39 with a 3012LF, the code might look like:

or all cabs using a 2010:

It's the S2010. It's very close in sensitivity in a 20" wide cab but a S2010 can only handle 1/4 the power of the 3012LF so the 3012LF will beat it by 6db.

From the chart I wasn't sure if it was a BP102 or a S2010, so I left it as just 10. Otherwise, I agree completely with turntablist post.

Here's the chart in question.

The Tuba HT, freestanding, wall and corner placement, 24.5 inches wide, loaded with a Tempest Classic 15.

Is there any chance you could revise the chart to reflect 1/2 space measurements, rather than 1/8 space measurements? It would make it a lot easier to do apples-to-apples measurements....

( I was a little shocked to see that I really should have built the THT instead of my beloved T36s. )

I got the THT chart from the docs, but I can include the others as well.

Hey Chris,

What would you think about a function that moves the chart up or down a specified number of db? This would be interesting for comparisons, and give a rough measure for cab multiples, to be used in system matching.
