TomS, I edited your post for the newer format of the spl tag - but didn't alter your frequency range statement.

I'm sampled them already but the calibration was off so I have to do them again.

They'll be up by tonight!

Bass players, check this out! Jack210 == Omni 15 (maybe with the help of a little EQ to flatten that dip and hump at 1500-3000 :-) ).

Well, I've just built an O15TB and could probably use the DLII2510's from my current O10 and build a J210 and compare. That would be real interesting after seeing that chart.

-1. Jack 210 is 4 ohms, O15 is 8. Jack 210 has 294cc displacement, O15 has 846cc. SPL charts alone do not tell the whole story. And there's still no such thing as a free lunch.

Oops, forgot about the impedence difference. Both charts are 2.83V, so lets say I connect up my bass amp that puts out a max of 45V. Both cabs are still producing the same SPL, right? The difference shows up when I connect my bass amp that puts out 60V. The Omni 15 is now 3dB louder and the Jack 210 has fried drivers.

Are there other differences besides 3dB more max output?

Wrong. You've blown the 2510s from over-excursion, so Jack's output is zero. You would have heard the 2510s complaining back around 30v, but since you ignored their plaintive cries they're now toast. RIP.

45V into 4 ohms = 500W, which is the thermal rating of 2x 2510. Do they hit Xlim at lower power than that?

Yes. Thermal ratings in and of themselves are as tits to a bull.
